kihiroの「こんな役やってみたい」シリーズ第４弾です〜！
イケてる大人のグループの皆さんに報告を含めてこの映画を選んだのですが、6月中旬から8月頭まで、自分がやっているバンドLOKAのアメリカツアーが決定しました！
約1ヶ月半、西海岸から東までの30本ライヴツアー.....!!!
合計走行距離は1万キロってとこですかね...楽しそうに思えて、正直...とてつもなくハードなツアーになると思われます...。死なない程度に頑張ろうと思いますw
そこで、何故この映画「南極料理人」かと言うと、とっ〜〜てもバンドのツアーというものと共感するストーリーだからです。
あらすじは、8人の男性が南極ドームふじ基地に太古からの気象変動についての調査へ派遣されるお話。氷床から氷床コアと言う筒状になった氷の柱を取り出して、何万年もの単位での過去気象データを収集するのが隊員のお仕事。
そこへ、隊員達の料理人として派遣されるのが、「堺雅人」さん演じる西村淳。彼は妻と娘を置いて単身赴任、他7名、生瀬勝久：本さん：本山ヒデユキ/雪氷学者（極地研究所）、きたろう：タイチョー：金田ヒロシ/気象学者（気象庁）、高良健吾：兄やん：川村ヤスシ/雪氷サポート（大学院）、豊原功補：ドクター：福田マサシ/医療担当（北海道私立病院）、古舘寛治：主任：御子柴ケン/車両担当（自動車メーカー（いすゞ））、黒田大輔：盆：西平リョウ/通信担当（通信社）、小浜正寛：平さん：平林マサヒコ/大気学者（極地研究所）と、それぞれも家族や恋人を残して約1年共同生活を送るのです。
南極では食料はおろか、水の調達でさえ難しい。
食材も缶詰を基本としているため、思考を駆使して料理をするのが主役西村の役目です。
そんな中、カップ麺を全部ツマミ食いしちゃうのもいれば、貴重な水を思いっきりシャワーに使ってしまうなど個性溢れるキャラクターばかりで、癒し系な笑いが絶えないです。せっかくの伊勢海老をエビフライに料理させられたり、フランス料理が出てきたり、とにかく西村は皆の腹を満たす為に食事を豪華にします。
のんびりとストーリーは続き、特にハラハラ、ドキドキするシーンとかはありません。でも、忘れがちな毎日のありがたみ、人と人のつながり、究極な環境の中でひたむきに働く姿...当たり前の生活が本当尊いんだと思わせてくれます。
それはツアー中に想う感情とよく似ています。遠く別の国でライヴをしては10数時間移動、口に合わない飯、貴重な予算を酒に使ってしまうや、毎日同じメンバーと過ごし、ひたすら次の街へと移動。約30~60分のステージに全力を注ぐ。途中、普段仲間のいるバーのこと、いつも食べに行く定食屋、自宅でのんびり観るテレビ、遊ぶゲーム...思い出します。もちろんツアーは自分の夢・目標を達成するためのライフ・ワークだから文句はないけど、こういったことは道中で頭をよぎります。
そして、この映画と同様、帰国後久々に会う皆んなと交わす、特別でもない飯が美味しくて仕方がないのです。
もちろん、我々LOKAは人をハラハラ、ドキドキさせる為に全力を尽くします！
でも、その裏側にある人間が現実的に感じる部分も見せ、共感してもらいたいなと思います。マテリアル・ワールドに生きる中、本当に人間が大事に想える、思うべきものは何なのか、そんな事も自分たちなりに表現できたらと。
この映画の中で出てくる「ドクター」こと豊原功補さん演じる福田マサシが僕が演じてみたい役です。彼はお酒好きで夜になると隊員達の憩いのバーみたいのを施設内に作り、彼らの話を聞いてあげたりと皆んなの兄貴肌な役です。一人の隊員の誕生日の時にはバカでかいステーキを焼く為に、外に出て油まみれにして勢いよく燃えあげてしまし、それを見て楽しくなったのか持って西村を追いかけ回したり。ほんわか笑えますw
自分も、バンドの中では兄貴分。ツアー中、ドクターの様な役目を務めれたらな...としみじみ思います。普段から後輩バンドやらには相談されたりなどもあるのですが、ドクターの様な包み込む、ほんわかした兄貴肌欲しいなぁって思います。自分は割とオラオラ・努力・根性！っていう体育会系なので...こういった役を演じる事からドクターの様な人間性も自分の中に取り入れられたらいいなぁとw ある意味自分に足りない性格を理解する為に演じたいって思ったので、このキャラクターを選びました^^
まだ２ヶ月近くツアーまでは時間がありますが...
発表もそろそろなので、気合いれてきます。そして、今ある生活を大事に、昨日より今日が明日がもっともっと素敵になるように頑張っていくぜー！！！

Hello everyone kihiro here again with my Movie Blog.
Today I'd like to introduce a Japanese movie that was released in 2009 called, "NANKYOKU RYOLI-NIN", direct translation would be "Shef in the Sout Pole".
The story is about 8 guys who are hired to work at the South Pole to investigate and research the climate change data from millions of years ago by digging up the ice deep
underground.
Starring character the "SHEF" Jun Nishimura is played by "Masato Sakai" and his role is to cook good food day and night for the other 7 crew members. It's the south pole... they need to make water from the ice and most of their food sent from home are canned food. Nishimura will have to be creative in order to satisfy the crew members hunger.
7 of the crew members are all characteristic with different attitudes against food, how they eat etc. They live together, they have a same curfew but like any other human, some will eat more than others, some will use the important water source to shower up.
The movie basically does not have any EXCITING nor DRAMA. That's not what this movie gives you so don't expect any of that lol. Basically its just 8 middle aged dudes working and goofing around on their spare time.
However, I promise your heart will be healed once you finish watching this. It's a humanic drama that tells you how important your "normal" every day life is. Living with 8 guys over a year with nothing but snow and ice... now that's "life-war"...
The crew members are at the South Pole, leaving their family and loved ones at home, I think some of you experienced that in life. Some of you already may know how tough, lonely and painful that is. We can easily get carried away when we blend in too much with what we have. This movie will remind you, how important and cherishing your everyday life is.
I chose this movie this time because my band LOKA will be touring the USA again!
40 days with 30 shows from West to East. I've been on the road many times. Sometimes even longer. Durring the way I imagine the bar I always go, the restraunt I always eat, the friends etc. Knowing that I will have to face being away from these, the characters in the movie made me feel very close and remind me how delicious the dinner is when you get home.
I am guessing for American or other people who live in a big country this is easy to relate to. But for Japanese, its difficult... Simply, our country is not that big lol.
Yea there may be times you are away from home over a month or year but the distance is soooo close, its easy to go back. Moreover, the environment itself doest change so much as well. You can be in a rural area, but a few hour drive or on the train will take yo u to a near city.
Well but I'm ready to take this journey again. It will be tough, but it will be fun.
It will remind me again something I forgot. It will teach me something new.
A band I like wrote a lyric that said
"I know I'm not prepared, for a life that keeps me far from home...
but I know if I just sit there, I'll never find out who I am"- FAKTION
I will always feel this way before I go.
But its the tough times that makes us better, the sad moments that makes us stronger, and the "will" that gives power to people.
